Calling all early birds and foodies! 30A is the ultimate beach destination in Florida, with its shimmering turquoise water and sugary white sand. Visiting is a no brainer, now you just need some recommendations on where to eat while you’re visiting! Whether you are an omelet aficionado, a donut lover, or a bacon enthusiast, you deserve to start your day on the right foot when you’re vacationing along Scenic 30A. So where is the best breakfast on 30A? Grab a napkin and prepare to drool with these 8 options!
The Donut Hole
While it’s technically not on 30A proper, it’s close! Start your day with a smile, and a donut of course, at The Donut Hole. This iconic bakery has been serving up donuts and breakfast treats since 1978. Of course, you’ll find a wide variety of donuts. If you’re looking for a heartier breakfast, they have a variety of omelets to satisfy any hunger. I tried the Gulf Coast Crabmeat Benedict last time and it was delicious! I remember eating here on our many family trips to the beach growing up. So many special memories.
Prepare to arrive early as well as a bit of a wait, especially during the Summer.
Bud and Alley’s
This spot is not just for dinner and drinks. Their breakfast menu is just as impressive as the dinner menu! The avocado toast is my breakfast must-have. The shrimp and grits as well as the crab cake benedict are some other delicious options. If you want something on the sweeter side, try the brioche french toast. You’ll want to come back for seconds. The hardest part of dining here is figuring out the parking. Something to note: there is now a paid parking lot for visiting Seaside. Visit this website for a more information about where to park as well as the free shuttle!
The Great Southern Cafe
The Great Southern Café is a staple of the 30A coastline, serving up classic southern cuisine with a modern twist. The breakfast menu includes favorites like chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and a Gulf seafood omelet. And since you’re on vacation, why not indulge in one of their famous beignets? My personal favorite is the Grits A Ya Ya!
Whether you’re just passing through or have been visiting 30A for years, you’ll love dining at the Great Southern Café. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a knowledgeable staff that will help guide you through their menu. As with Bud and Alley’s – a note about parking in Seaside: Visit this website for a more information about where to park as well as the free shuttle!
The Perfect Pig
If you are looking for a breakfast place with Southern charm and flavor, The Perfect Pig is the place to be. And you have three locations on 30A to choose from: Watercolor, Gulf Place, and Seagrove Beach. This cozy restaurant offers a farm-to-table experience, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients in their dishes. The breakfast menu features classics like biscuits and gravy and Eggs Benedict, as well as unique dishes such as the Fried Green Tomato Benedict, a twist on the classic dish that will leave you wanting more. What really steals the show is their homemade back that is thick, crispy and oh so delicious. Plus, they have a killer Bloody Mary bar that will help you get into vacation mode.
Big Bad Breakfast
Here, the name speaks the truth. The portions are ridiculously huge, and the flavors are even bigger. From the fluffy pancakes to the crispy bacon, everything on the menu is made to perfection. And if you’re feeling especially hungry, try the “Big Bad Breakfast,” consisting of two eggs, house-cured Tabasco brown sugar bacon or Conecuh sausage, grits or potatoes, and biscuit or toast. You’ll leave here ready to conquer the world. I loved the Huevos Rancheros grits bowl as well as the Breakfast Crumble. But, I don’t think you can really go wrong here.
The Summer Kitchen Cafe
For a refined breakfast option, head to this upscale cafe nestled in Rosemary Beach. Whether you’re in the mood for fluffy pancakes or savory quiches, everything is prepared from scratch with the freshest ingredients. My personal favorite is the South of the Border roll up and the French French Toast (iykyk). Make sure to get there early, because seating is limited.
Raw & Juicy
If you prefer a healthier breakfast option, this juice bar has got you covered. Everything on the menu is organic, vegan, and gluten-free. Order cold-pressed juices chock-full of nutrients, and light and healthy food items that cater to your dietary needs, including granola bowls, avocado toast, and smoothies. My personal favorite is the Acai Bowl. The vibrant purple color looks amazing, and it’s full of antioxidants that give you energy throughout the day. Stop by this juice bar for a delicious and nutritious breakfast!
Cowgirl Kitchen
Last but certainly not least, Cowgirl Kitchen is a great place to eat breakfast on 30A for those who want a more laid-back atmosphere. This 30A eatery is a combination market, cafe, and wine bar. They have two locations: Rosemary Beach and Blue Mountain Beach. I tend to favor the one in Blue Mountain Beach as it’s easier to park. The breakfast menu features breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, and some specialties like French Toast. When the weather is nice, take advantage of their outdoor patio with a mimosa in hand. The Migas is my absolute favorite dish. But the Heartache is pretty delicious too!
Whether you prefer something sweet or savory, simple or sophisticated, there is a breakfast place on 30A that will satisfy your cravings. These places are just the tip of the iceberg, but all are definitely worth checking out. So, before you start your beach day, fuel up with a delicious breakfast at one of these places and set yourself up to have an unforgettable day. Rise and dine, y’all!
