Hey there, I’m Jess, a travel-loving lifestyle and garden blogger on an epic mission to explore the world from top to bottom – literally. If you’ve landed on my blog, it means that adventure is calling your name!
Since I was just six months old, my passport has been stamped in over 30 countries across 4 continents with no sign of slowing down any time soon. These days I’ve got even more reason to roam — I recently married my Australian husband, Cameron, in a wedding in the hinterland of Byron Bay, and between his side of the world and mine, our travel map just keeps growing.
Whether in my own backyard or across seven continents – through this space I want to share with y’all both what can be found out there as well as within ourselves when we take those journeys of discovery.
Let me guide you so together we may discover more than just sights & cities —we’ll open our eyes wide enough to find something much bigger: Ourselves!
Gardening was never an activity I saw myself enjoying. In the wake of the very unexpected passing of my beloved yellow Labrador Nicole in December 2021, however, sorrow and grief led me to take solace in a new hobby – one that brought joy back into my life as it helped heal wounds through nurturing plants over time. These days, my garden has a new companion supervising the work: Byron, our Mini Australian Shepherd puppy (yes, named for where it all began), who thinks every dug-up bed is a personal invitation to help.
Somewhere along the way, I also fell hard for mahjong — the clack of tiles, the strategy, the community that comes with it. What started as a few games with friends has turned into a full-on obsession with beautiful tile sets and mat designs, and I’m always on the hunt for the next one to add to my collection.
I’m on a mission to live my greatest life, filled with fulfilling experiences and moments of inspiration. Through my content, I hope to arm you with the knowledge & advice needed for this journey!

a few fun facts about me…
- As a Global Real Estate Advisor for Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty, I help clients from around the world find their perfect home or investment property along Florida’s Emerald Coast.
- I currently live full-time in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, which is one of Florida’s most popular tourist destinations.
- I married my high school sweetheart — with a 28-year hiatus in between!
- It was my first marriage, and I said “I do” at 50. We got married at the Earth House in the hinterland of Byron Bay, Australia.
- I got my first passport at just 6 months old.
- My family moved overseas to Saudi Arabia in 1975, and I lived there until I was 7 years old, when we moved to Dallas, Texas.
- I’m a total mahjong enthusiast — always on the hunt for the next beautiful tile set or mat design.
- My Mini Australian Shepherd puppy, Byron, was named after the place where our love story got its second chapter.
