Access to incredible food is one of the best things about living in Miramar Beach. Whether it’s a casual spot to grab a quick bite after a morning at the beach, a laid-back lunch with friends, or a place to take out-of-town visitors, there’s no shortage of fantastic options for great places to eat lunch in Miramar Beach, Florida.
Where to Find the Best Lunch in Miramar Beach, Florida
When you think of a perfect beach holiday, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? For many of us, it’s the thought of fresh sea breezes, the sound of waves lapping against the shore, and of course, the tantalizing taste of local cuisine. In Miramar Beach, you’ll find a delightful array of lunch options that perfectly merge the beach charm with a burst of coastal flavors.
I’ve lived here long enough to have my list of go-to lunch spots—the ones that never disappoint, always serve up something delicious, and, in some cases, come with a view that makes the meal even better. Some of these are well-known staples, while others are more under-the-radar, but all are places I’d happily recommend. So, if you’re wondering where to eat lunch in Miramar Beach, here are my favorites!
Surf Hut
If I could pick one place that perfectly captures the essence of Miramar Beach, it would be Surf Hut. Right on the sand, this spot offers incredible Gulf views and a menu packed with fresh seafood and Southern favorites. Their fried gulf shrimp platter is my absolute favorite (and maybe not the healthiest), but if you’re in the mood for something fresh, the grilled fish tacos and shrimp and grits are both phenomenal. They also have great frozen drinks if you want to lean into vacation mode a little. It’s one of those places where you sit back, let the sea breeze roll in, and just enjoy the moment. If you’re searching for views, this is the best place to go.
The Whale’s Tail
There’s something about ordering at the counter, grabbing a seat overlooking the sand, and just enjoying a fresh fish taco that makes The Whale’s Tail so special. This is a classic, no-frills beach bar with solid food and an unbeatable location. It’s the kind of place where you can walk up in flip-flops, order a frozen daiquiri, and just soak in the beach vibes. Perfect for a super casual lunch by the water. Don’t forget they also have a great place to eat upstairs with sit-down service! My favorite spot is the built-in bar – the best views in the house!
Pompano Joe’s
Pompano Joe’s is one of those places that everyone seems to know about, but there’s a reason for that—it’s consistently good. Nestled right on the beach with colorful decor and a fun, tropical vibe, this spot always delivers. The Caribbean-style seafood is the main draw, with favorites like the coconut shrimp and jerk chicken packing in tons of flavor. It’s a great place to bring visitors or just to treat yourself to a casual lunch with an unbeatable view.
Bistrology
If you’re looking for something a little more elevated but still casual, Bistrology is a gem. This place has a cozy, modern feel and serves up some of the best sandwiches and burgers in town. The garlic parmesan potatoes are next-level, and their servings are generous, so come with an appetite and consider sharing with a friend. It’s the kind of place where you walk in thinking you’ll just grab a quick lunch but end up staying longer because it’s just that good.
Sushimoto

For sushi enthusiasts, Sushimoto is a family-owned restaurant that offers some of the best sushi in town. Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, this family-owned gem consistently serves up some of the freshest and most flavorful sushi in town. It’s a local favorite for a reason—the fish is always high quality, the rolls are expertly made, and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.
Sushimoto is one of those places that doesn’t rely on fancy décor or beachfront views—it’s all about the food. Whether craving a classic California Roll or looking to build your own creation, this spot has you covered. It’s a must-visit for a fresh and satisfying lunch.
2 Birds Coffee + Café
I love a good hidden gem, and 2 Birds Coffee + Café is exactly that. It’s a small, locally loved spot with a menu full of fresh, creative dishes. Their BLT is my go-to – it’s a nice take on the classic with the addition of avocado, dill, basil, and sunflower seeds. But you can’t really go wrong with anything you order. The salads and bowls are excellent if you’re looking for something light and healthy. It’s got a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes it an easy favorite for a chill lunch.
Acme Oyster House
Sometimes you just need chargrilled oysters and a po’boy, and Acme Oyster House always delivers. This New Orleans import has made a name for itself with its bold, flavorful dishes, and I can confidently say their oysters are some of the best you’ll find around here. Whether you go for a dozen chargrilled oysters, a shrimp po’boy, or a bowl of gumbo, you’re in for a treat. It’s lively, casual, and always a fun time.
Fat Clemenza’s
There’s no shortage of pizza and pasta spots around here, but Fat Clemenza’s is hands-down one of my favorites. This isn’t just your average Italian restaurant—it’s a cozy, family-run spot with an authentic, welcoming vibe. Their wood-fired pizzas are perfection (I love the Margherita), but the lasagna and eggplant parmesan are also top-tier. It’s a great place to linger over lunch, sip a glass of wine, and pretend you’re in a little café in Italy.
