Simmer Pot
To me, nothing says “fall” quite like the scent of simmering spices filling the air. It’s such a simple way to add a cozy touch to your home as the seasons shift. Add all your favorite fall elements to the simmer pot, turn it on, and let the scents float through your home. Trust me, this is a game-changer.
My favorite combination includes a cinnamon stick, rosemary sprigs, whole cloves, slices of orange, and cranberries. Add the ingredients to my simmer pot and turn it on low or simmer for a few hours releasing the most delightful aroma throughout my house. It’s the perfect addition to any cozy fall evening. Not only does it give your home a warm, inviting atmosphere, but it’s a natural air freshener.
Pitcher with Filter
Next up, I’m bringing some love to my glass pitcher with filter. While it may seem like an odd choice for a fall favorite, this pitcher has been a game-changer for me. As I strive to increase my daily water intake, this has helped. I add fresh herbs from my garden, slices of cucumber, oranges, lemons, and/or limes to flavor my water. It’s an easy way and delicious way to switch things up and keep myself hydrated throughout the day.
Merry People Ankle Bobbi Boots
My favorite garden-related item for this fall season must be my trusty Merry People Ankle Bobbi boots. I snagged a pair in a gorgeous grape color this Spring and they’ve been a staple in my wardrobe ever since. Not only are they perfect for working in the garden, but they also make for a great rainy-day option.
They keep my feet dry and comfortable, are easy to wash off after working in the garden, and they’re stylish to boot (pun intended). I may or may not have my eye on getting a second pair in the new grasshopper green color…
The Midnight Library
If you’re searching for a great fall read, I highly recommend The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. It’s honestly one of my favorite reads. It’s an imaginative and heartwarming story about life’s biggest what-ifs and the power of second chances. If you’re looking for a book that will leave you feeling emotional, fulfilled, and inspired, then this is the book for you. It’s a beautiful story that will make you laugh, cry, and appreciate the life you’re living.
The story follows a woman who finds herself stuck in a library between life and death, and each book she opens represents a different life she could have lived. It’s a beautiful reminder that life is precious, the “what-ifs” we look back on might not have ended how we believe, and we should always strive to make the most of every moment.
Pumpkin Spice Dip
No fall favorites list would be complete without a seasonal snack. This pumpkin spice dip is easy to make and perfect for gatherings with friends and family.
Simply whip together 8 oz of softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup of icing sugar. After you’ve whipped the first two ingredients today, stir in 1.5 cups of pumpkin puree, 1 tsp of vanilla, and 2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. Fold in 1.5 cups of whipped cream at the end. Serve with a variety of options like sliced apples, ginger snaps, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or pretzels.
That’s a wrap on this week’s fall favorites, folks. Whether you’re looking to cozy up your home with a simmer pot, find an easy fall snack, or simply find your next great read, there’s something for everyone on this list. Maybe some of these items will help give you a head start on your holiday shopping as well!
