Happy Fri-YAY, tea lovers! As a self-proclaimed tea enthusiast, I’m excited to share my five favorite teas with you in this week’s edition of ” Five Favorites on Friday.”
Just like coffee drinkers have their go-to brews, tea aficionados also have their favorite blends that never disappoint. From lavender mint to wedding breakfast, the options are endless. However, in a sea of tea brands and loose tea options, it can be overwhelming to find one that truly tantalizes your taste buds.
Whether you’re a new tea drinker or a seasoned connoisseur, I’m confident there’s something on this list you’ll enjoy. So grab a cozy blanket and your favorite mug, and let’s dive into my top picks for the week!

KeWi Teas – Lavender Mint
I’m a sucker for anything with lavender, and KeWi Teas’ Lavender Mint does not disappoint. The combination of relaxing lavender and refreshing mint is the perfect balance of flavors.
The two sisters who own Kewi Teas have put their heart and soul into making each blend as flavorful and aromatic as possible. Plus, there’s nothing more heartwarming than supporting sister-owned businesses, right? I love supporting small, female-owned businesses, as well as family-owned businesses. An overall WIN here!
Simple Loose Leaf – Tumeric Comfort Tea
The Turmeric Comfort tea from Simple Loose Leaf is perfect if you’re looking for something to boost your mood and immunity. It has notes of turmeric, ginger, and honey, making it a perfect remedy for when you’re feeling under the weather.
With over 150 tea varieties, you’ll never run out of options to try. Their subscription boxes are a great way to sample a variety of tea options or gift to a fellow tea lover.
Simple Loose Leaf is another sibling-owned company run by two brothers and a sister, one of whom is a University of Arkansas graduate – shoutout to my sister who also attended!
Steven Smith Teamaker – Black Lavender
Black Lavender tea is hands down my favorite from Steven Smith Teamaker. It’s a black tea with French lavender, rose, black currant, and vanilla.
Steven Smith Teamaker is one of my go-to choices when it comes to options in tea bags. With selections like Meadow (another top favorite from this brand!), Peppermint Leaves, and Lullaby, you’re bound to find your favorite one. Can’t decide on just one? They have some great tea assortment boxes with a nice sampling of varieties. I tend to order the Wellness Tea Assortment. They also have seasonal teas throughout the year. The Silent Night and Morning Light holiday teas are my personal favorites. Trust me, once you try their teas, you’ll be hooked.
If you’re ever in Portland, stop by the Steven Smith Teamaker tasting rooms!
TWG Tea – Silver Moon
Silver Moon tea is an all-time favorite and must-have staple in my tea collection. The delicate blend of green teas with hints of berry and vanilla creates a unique and refreshing taste I can’t get enough of. If green tea isn’t a favorite of yours, they have 15 varieties of teas and tea blends, from traditional black teas to white teas and everything in between.
The Singapore-based tea company has a store in London, which is worth visiting to experience the aroma of their teas. If you’re lucky enough to be in a city with a TWG Tea store, I highly encourage you to go check it out!
Although TWG Tea has several stores worldwide, you can order their tea options online too! This is how I tend to purchase since I can’t visit the London store as often as I’d like …. Note if you order online – pricing is in Singapore Dollars. I have the XE currency converter app on my phone but there are plenty of ways to calculate!
Fortnum & Mason – Wedding Breakfast
Wedding Breakfast is one of my absolute favorite teas. This special blend was created to celebrate the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011. While Wedding Breakfast is undoubtedly one of my top picks, Fortnum Mason has several other delightful blends. They also have wonderful Christmas hampers and advent calendars perfect for the holiday season that’s quickly approaching!
If you prefer to order a little closer to home, William Sonoma has a limited collection of Fortnum Mason teas like Royal Blend and Queen Anne.
Fortnum Mason has been around since 1707 and has gained a reputation as one of the finest tea merchants in the world. They specialize in traditional tea blends and use only the finest ingredients. So, it’s no surprise that their Wedding Breakfast is one of the best out there. If you’re a fan of British tea, this is a must-try.
And there you have it – my top five favorite teas! Narrowing down to just five favorites was difficult. I hope these selections have given you an insight into the different brands and types of teas available and maybe inspired you to try something new.
Whether you’re a tea lover like me or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving these brands and teas a try. Who knows? Maybe one of these will become your new favorite!
Let me know in the comments section what your favorite tea is or if you have tried any of the teas I’ve mentioned. Until next week, happy sipping!
